Redwings Horse Sanctuary

Redwings Aylsham is welcoming visitors every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays), 10am to 4pm. While the majority of compulsory Covid rules have now been lifted, we are continuing to ask supporters to pre-book time slots for their visits – please visit for booking details. Dogs on leads are welcome. Lovable donkey duo Wiggins and Wacko, real-life Black Beauty Maya and resident troublemakers, the Gangsters, are just some of the 50 rescued residents ready to make your acquaintance at Redwings Aylsham. *** Please note that due to Covid-19 it is best to check our website for the latest information. Public toilets will be open and available and there is a fully accessible WC. Our play area remains partially closed but Red’s Shed is open. Our gift shop is open and Gulliver’s Café is serving drinks and snacks, as well as stone baked pizzas with a variety of toppings. *** To help support us during this challenging time you might like to consider sponsoring one of the charity’s adorable Adoption Stars. Available from just £15 per year, you can adopt for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. Please ask a staff member about this during your visit and they will be happy to assist you. Most paddocks are accessible, although some pathways may be difficult to navigate in adverse weather conditions or due to the one way system currently in place. The wildlife walks are also primarily grass track. There is a fully accessible purpose built visitor reception and stable facility, where ponies can be brought in and groomed. There are two Blue Badge parking spaces. Just 12 miles from the centre of Norwich, Redwings Aylsham is situated off the A140 junction at Henry Page Road, Aylsham. Postcode: NR11 6UE
