Walks

Aylsham is a historic town, with beautiful old streets and historic buildings. Why not take a stroll around the town or go for a longer walk along the old railway lines.

Why not download the Discover Aylsham App on to your phone or tablet and take the routes with you.

Long Town Walk

The long town walk is an extension of the town walk. This takes you round by the Buttsland and down Hungate Street with many medieval half-timbered houses. The walk then takes you from the old main road into Aylsham to the new main road and then back into the market place.

The Railway Walk

Aylsham had 2 railways lines passing through it and 2 stations. This walk is long but takes along both railway lines which have now been converted to footpaths and cycle ways. The walk starts at Bure Valley Railway which sits on the site of the old Aylsham South Station.
